Image Style: Stock Photography

Keep these basic points in mind when selecting stock imagery for NAB:

  • Photos should be either zoomed in with strong angles and tight cropping, or wide open with asymmetrical spacing and lots of space.
  • For people shots, the subjects should look candid and natural, not stiff and awkwardly posed. Avoid images with the subject looking at the camera.
  • For nonpeople shots, zoomed-in technology images (speaker mesh, microphone) work well.

Stock Photo Sources

NAB has access to images on Adobe Stock Images (excluding editorial images) and Unsplash. Images from other sources may be used at additional cost.

Image Style: Provided Photography

When provided photography must be used, you can further support the NAB imagery style by applying the same techniques that you look for in stock photography. Tighter cropping and asymmetry can help bring more emotion and impact to a photo.
