WASHINGTON, DC -- The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that Kent Dunn, vice president and market manager of Beasley Broadcast Group's Augusta, Georgia cluster, is the winner of the "What's Working for You" initiative, a project designed to highlight success stories of radio and television stations during these challenging times. In recognition of the winning entry, titled "Absolutely Augusta," Dunn will receive hotel accommodations and full conference registration for two to the 2010 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
"What's Working for You" is a recently launched online resource that provides radio and television stations with the opportunity to share successful revenue generating strategies or charitable fundraising initiatives with other broadcasters. According to Beasley Broadcast Group, Dunn and Beasley Broadcasting's Sales Manager Mark Haddon worked together to share positive stories about the opportunities available to the Augusta community through the creation and distribution of public service announcements (PSAs). These PSAs featured local politicians and were shared with the Augusta community. The promotion encouraged citizens to support their community by keeping dollars local and was sold to like-minded businesses.
