The Distinguished Service Award is given to broadcasters who have made a significant and lasting contribution to the American system of broadcasting.
The Distinguished Service Award Criteria, as adopted by the NAB Board of Directors, is as follows:
"Resolved, that any broadcaster, whether or not actively engaged in the operations end of the broadcasting industry, who has made a significant and lasting contribution to the American system of broadcasting by virtue of singular achievement or continuing service for or on behalf of the industry, shall be eligible to receive the annual NAB Distinguished Service Award. The recipient is required to be present at the NAB annual convention to receive the award."
The award is presented annually at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nev.
