Service to America Awards

The Celebration of Service to America Awards is the NAB Leadership Foundation's largest fundraising initiative, which honors local radio and television stations throughout our country for their commitment and excellence of community service.

The 2022 Celebration of Service to America Awards was hosted by Emmy Award winner Mario Lopez and featured other celebrity guests at the in-person black tie gala that took place at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, June 7.

Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution served once again as our partners in advertising sales and distribution for the nationally syndicated program.

For the first time ever, the Celebration of Service to America Awards honored two individuals with the Leadership Award &150; Ms. Patti LaBelle and Chef Jose Andres for their extraordinary community service and philanthropic work.

GEICO received the Corporate Leadership Award for its extraordinary focus on community service and corporate social responsibility.

The Celebration of Service to America Awards television show aired July 9 through August 13, 2022, on 702 stations in 210 markets.
The program aired a total of 890 times over the six-week clearance window, reaching 7.6 million viewers. (Source: Nielsen NPower Live+7 R&F Report)
The awards finalists collectively devoted more than 3,500 hours of airtime to public service and provided more than $43 million in funds and donations to support local businesses and charities to address the unique challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
