Promoting Diversity in the Workplace

In November, the NAB Leadership Foundation and NAB co-hosted the Human Resources and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Forum. The one-day symposium, open to senior human resources and DEI executives and professionals in the broadcast industry, focused on creating dialogue and exchanging ideas among broadcast companies regarding talent management, retention and DEI best practices.

  • Featured speakers included Dr. Ella Washington, Camille Lloyd and Dr. Solange Charas. The day of networking concluded with a discussion on best practices and strategies for success facilitated by the Fitzpatrick Group. Support for the forum was provided by Kelly Benefits Strategies.
  • The Foundation’s mission is to equip our industry with the best tools to attract, train and retain the innovative and talented broadcasters that will shape our future, said NAB Leadership Foundation President and NAB Chief Diversity Officer Michelle Duke. “This forum will help hiring managers and broadcast executives understand the needs of their employees and ensure organizations are well-positioned to meet the challenges of tomorrow.”

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Resource Center

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Resource Center provides individuals and organizations the information necessary to spark ideas, drive inclusivity and seek change for a more diverse, inclusive and equitable workplace.

  • This resource center is a starting point to explore the organizations, consultants, resources and toolkits necessary to train, educate and guide the workforce forward.
