Washington, D.C. – Local broadcasters’ powerful community impact takes center stage in the 2024 Celebration of Service to America, airing on more than 600 local television and radio stations nationwide. The one-hour special premieres Saturday, December 7, and will run through Sunday, December 29.
“We are honored to share the extraordinary work of broadcasters who go above and beyond to uplift and connect their communities,” said Michelle Duke, president of the NAB Leadership Foundation and chief diversity officer at NAB. “This program celebrates the passion, dedication and creativity that make local broadcasters indispensable. It’s an honor to spotlight their stories and the profound impact they have on the lives of their listeners and viewers.”
This year’s program, hosted by two-time Emmy Award-winning talk show host Tamron Hall, highlights inspiring stories from award winners and their efforts to inform, protect and connect their communities. Featured presenters include entertainer and The Voice of LA Big Boy, iHeart Latino president and chief creative officer and radio host Enrique Santos, broadcast journalist and news anchor Joie Chen, anchor of NewsNation’s The Hill Blake Burman, television personality Wayne Brady, and wildlife ecologist and co-host of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom Protecting the Wild Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant.

Earlier this year, the winners were celebrated at the prestigious Celebration of Service to America gala, held June 4 at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. Among the honorees, Mutual of Omaha received the Corporate Leadership Award for its exemplary dedication to community service and corporate responsibility.
