NAB Statement on Passing of Barbara Walters

Washington, D.C. -- In response to the passing of Barbara Walters, the following statement can be attributed to NAB President and CEO Curtis LeGeyt:

"Broadcasting has lost a legend with the passing of Barbara Walters. She embodied the true spirit of a broadcaster, always seeking the truth to bring to her viewers with fierce journalistic integrity. Her grit and determination led the way for numerous successful women in journalism who would follow in her footsteps. NAB extends our condolences to her family."
