2018 NAB Marconi Radio Awards to Feature Performances by Matt Nathanson and MAX

WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Recording artists Matt Nathanson and MAX will perform at the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner and Show, sponsored by Xperi, on September 27. The event is part of the 2018 Radio Show, held September 25-28 at the Hilton Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Orlando and is produced by the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and National Association of Broadcasters (NAB).

In addition to performing, Matt Nathanson will serve as the award ceremony host. His 2007 album, “Some Mad Hope,” yielded his multi-platinum hit “Come on Get Higher.” His 2013 release, “Last Of The Great Pretenders,” debuted at number 16 on the Billboard Top 200 while being first on the iTunes Alternative Albums chart. Nathanson’s forthcoming album will be released on October 5. He was featured as a VH1 “You Oughta Know” artist and has performed on “The Ellen Show,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “Conan.”

MAX’s debut 2016 album, “Hell’s Kitchen Angel,” included the smash hit “Lights Down Low.” The song generated half a billion streams within two years, hit number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and Top 5 on Top 40 radio. His second album, “House of Divine,” will be released in 2018. Additionally, MAX has toured with the likes of Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa.

“Matt Nathanson and MAX are chart-topping artists and outstanding performers,” said NAB Executive Vice President of Industry Affairs and Special Projects Steve Newberry. “We look forward to welcoming these hit-makers to the Radio Show as we honor some of the industry’s most outstanding stations and personalities.”

Established in 1989 and named after inventor and Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi, the NAB Marconi Radio Awards recognize stations and individuals for excellence in the industry. A list of this year’s finalists is available here.
