NAB Statement Regarding Departure of Laurie Knight

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to the announcement that NAB Executive Vice President of Government Relations Laurie Knight will be joining the Association of American Railroads as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith issued the following statement:

"Laurie Knight served NAB and our member stations well and we wish her nothing but the best as she moves to the Association of American Railroads to become their top lobbyist. AAR will be impressed with Laurie's political connections and work ethic.

"NAB is in good hands with a solid group of Government Relations professionals who are in equal numbers Republicans and Democrats. We will conduct an exhaustive search to identify the very best advocate to lead this talented team."
