NAB Show Features Second Annual Military & Government Summit

WASHINGTON, DC -- The second annual NAB Show Military & Government Summit will take place April 13-15 at the NAB Show in Las Vegas. Produced by NAB in association with Harris Corporation, the Summit focuses on mission-critical video and data and features three keynote speakers.

James Martin, Director ISR Programs, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, will deliver Tuesday's keynote address. On Wednesday, Howard Lance, chairman, president and CEO, Harris Corporation, will discuss how the integration of government and commercial technologies can create "cross-over" applications that benefit both sectors.

"Many of the most advanced video technologies and applications will be hands-on, right there at the NAB Show," said John Marino, NAB Vice President, Science and Technology. "Summit attendees have a unique opportunity to network with exhibitors and to learn how commercial products may be adapted to the challenges facing the military and government sectors."

Military & Government Summit panel sessions explore critical topics such as networking challenges, virtualization technologies and cloud computing. Additional sessions address sensor technologies for the 21st century, video workflow and architecture trends.

Video production techniques will also be a focus with case studies on production for simulation and training offered from various military and government perspectives.

A special presentation from the Coalition for Government Procurement titled "Doing Business With the Government," Wednesday morning at 7:00 am, is designed for companies seeking to expand their business into the areas of information assurance, security technology or other government contracting.

The Summit concludes with a keynote address by U.S. Air Force Major General James O. Poss on Thursday.

Harris Corporation is a platinum sponsor of the Military & Government Summit. Omneon and Ascent Media are silver sponsors.
