NAB Statement on the Retirement of RTNDA President Barbara Cochran

WASHINGTON, DC – Upon learning that Barbara Cochran, president of the Radio-Television News Directors Association, will be retiring in 2009, NAB President and CEO David K. Rehr issued the following statement:

"For more than a decade, Barbara has been a First Amendment champion and an extraordinary leader for the entire broadcast news community. Her unwavering commitment to quality newsgathering is surpassed only by her class and integrity. We wish Barbara nothing but the best in her next endeavor."
