PILOT and NAB Leadership Foundation Accepting Applications for Technology Internship Grants for Summer 2020

-- Program provides funding for NAB member stations to offer paid internships to undergraduate students in radio and television engineering/technology positions --

Washington, D.C. – PILOT, the National Association of Broadcasters’ (NAB) technology innovation initiative, announced today the opening of the application window for its Summer 2020 technology internship grant program for the establishment of paid engineering or media-technology internships at NAB member radio and television stations. The program is provided in partnership with the NAB Leadership Foundation as part of an effort to grow technical and engineering talent for the industry.

The deadline for NAB members to submit applications for the grants is February 21, 2020.

Selected stations will be notified in March 2020.

The program seeks to help NAB members that do not currently offer engineering or media-technology internships, particularly in smaller markets. The program will also provide resources for selected stations in identifying and supporting interns, as well as travel assistance for the selected interns to attend the 2020 NAB Show in Las Vegas.

Additional program information is available at nabpilot.org/techinterns/.
