Major Garrett and Jill Schlesinger to Headline Radio Show Luncheon

WASHINGTON, D.C./NEW YORK-- CBS News’ Major Garrett and Jill Schlesinger will participate in a keynote discussion about the economy, media and politics during the Radio Luncheon on Wednesday, September 26 at the 2018 Radio Show. The Radio Show, produced by the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), will be held September 25-28 at the Hilton Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Orlando.

Major Garrett reports for all CBS News broadcasts and digital platforms as Chief White House Correspondent. He is also the host of "The Takeout," a weekly podcast about politics, policy and pop culture. Garrett has reported extensively on presidential actions to confront ISIS, Ebola, nuclear negotiations with Iran and U.S.-European efforts to engage Russia in the standoff over Ukraine. He has also served as Chief White House Correspondent for Fox News and as a journalist for outlets such as “U.S. News and World Report,” “The Washington Times” and “The Houston Post.” His newest book, “Mr. Trump’s Wild Ride: The Thrills, Chills, Screams, and Occasional Blackouts of an Extraordinary Presidency,” will be available for sale September 18.

Jill Schlesinger covers the economy, markets and investing as a business analyst for CBS News. Her nationally-syndicated radio show, “Jill on Money,” won a 2018 Gracie Award for Best National Talk Show. Schlesinger also serves as the senior CFP board ambassador for the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. Her first book, “The Dumb Things Smart People Do With Their Money,” will be published in February.

As previously announced, John David will receive the National Radio Award at the luncheon and country music recording artist Lance Carpenter will perform.
