WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit today affirmed a temporary injunction against ivi, Inc. The injunction prevents ivi from streaming copyrighted television programming over the Internet.In response to the ruling, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:
"This confirms that Congress never intended to allow Internet providers to retransmit broadcast programming without the consent of copyright owners."
