Hundreds of Broadcasters Converge in D.C. for State Leadership Conference

More than 500 broadcasters from across the country gathered in Washington, D.C., for the 2017 NAB State Leadership Conference, the premier advocacy event for broadcasters. The conference included discussion of policy issues before Congress and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), as well as an opportunity to network with fellow broadcasters from across the country. Attendees heard from prominent policymakers, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (KY) and Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (IL). The event was emceed by Tommy McFly of "The Tommy Show" on 94.7 FRESH FM in Washington, D.C. Broadcasters spent a day on Capitol Hill meeting with lawmakers and an additional day advocating at the FCC.
