WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to the appointment of Shira Perlmutter as Register of Copyrights and director of the U.S. Copyright Office, the following statement can be attributed to NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith:

Her broad expertise and experience in copyright law make her well-suited to lead the Copyright Office.
