2018 Radio Show to Examine 'The Podcast Boom'

WASHINGTON, D.C./NEW YORK-- Leading podcasters and audio professionals will discuss podcasting’s relationship with the radio industry in a session titled “The Podcast Boom” on September 26 at the 2018 Radio Show in Orlando. The Radio Show is produced by the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and is held September 25-28.

Norm Pattiz, chairman and CEO, PodcastOne will moderate a discussion on how radio broadcasters can best develop podcast content that generates revenue while driving listenership and overall engagement. Panelists include: Darren Davis, president, iHeartMedia Networks; Mario Lopez, television personality and host, “The 3 Knockdown Rule;” Suzanne Grimes, EVP, Marketing, Cumulus Media and president, Westwood One; and Kaitlyn Bristowe, television personality and host, “Off the Vine.”

NORM PATTIZ
Norm Pattiz currently serves as chairman and CEO of PodcastOne, the leading producer and distributer of audio on-demand programming. He is also the founder of Westwood One, which under his leadership became America's largest provider of news, sports, entertainment, talk and traffic programming.

DARREN DAVIS
In his role as president of iHeartMedia Networks Group, Darren Davis oversees the company’s digital initiatives, traffic and weather updates, Premiere and NBC News Radio Networks. Prior to his current role, he served as iHeartMedia’s senior vice president of programming and executive vice president and general manager of national programming.

MARIO LOPEZ
In addition to serving as host of “The Three Knockdown Rule” boxing podcast, Mario Lopez is the host of Premiere Networks’ nationally-syndicated radio programs “On With Mario Lopez” and the “iHeartRadio Countdown with Mario Lopez.” He is broadcast on 75 stations worldwide, as well as iHeartRadio. Mario is also the Emmy Award-winning host of “EXTRA,” a nationally-syndicated TV entertainment news program.

SUZANNE GRIMES
In her role as EVP of marketing for Cumulus Media, Suzanne Grimes oversees strategy, branding, national events and integrated solutions, in addition to data and insights. Additionally, Grimes has operating responsibility for Westwood One, the largest audio broadcast network in the United States. She also recently oversaw the launch of the Westwood One Podcast Network.

KAITLYN BRISTOWE
Kaitlyn Bristowe is host of the popular weekly podcast “Off the Vine,” in which she has candid conversations with some of Hollywood’s biggest names and provides unfiltered advice to listeners. Bristowe is also known for competing on season 19 of “The Bachelor” and appearing as “The Bachelorette” on season 11 of the show.
