WASHINGTON, DC -- In response to the FCC's approval of a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking proposing to streamline the rules relating to interference caused by FM translators, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:
“NAB is grateful the FCC is considering new policies that will extend local radio service through the use of translators while protecting the existing service of FM broadcasters. We look forward to participating in the Commission’s proceeding.”
