WTOP-FM Washington to Receive NAB Crystal Heritage Award at NAB Show

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) will honor WTOP-FM, Washington, D.C. with the esteemed NAB Crystal Heritage Award. The award will be presented during the new We Are Broadcasters Celebration, held Tuesday, April 10 during the 2018 NAB Show in Las Vegas. The Heritage Award recognizes radio stations that have won a total of five Crystal Radio Awards for exceptional year-round community service efforts. Only six other stations have received this honor in the 31-year history of the NAB Crystal Radio Awards.

“WTOP has served the Washington, DC region for 48 years, and our commitment to the community along the way has never wavered," said Hubbard Radio DC Senior Regional VP Joel Oxley. "We are so proud of our accomplishments both on and off the air, and are honored that this dedication is being rewarded with a coveted NAB Crystal Heritage Award.”

Radio stations can submit entries for a Crystal Radio Award until January 31.
