WASHINGTON, D.C.-- NAB Show will debut two new events highlighting broadcast industry achievement. The NAB Achievement in Broadcasting Dinner will be held Monday, April 9th at the Encore Las Vegas. A separate NAB: We Are Broadcasters Celebration will be held Tuesday, April 10th at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The events will shine a light on the broadcast industry, recognizing individuals and companies for their contributions in advancing the industry through technology, public service, and superior content.
The Achievement in Broadcasting Dinner and show is a ticketed event, which will include a networking reception (6:00 – 7:00 p.m.), followed by dinner (7:00 – 9:00 p.m.). The evening event will feature the presentation of the NAB Radio and Television Hall of Fame Awards and the NAB Digital Leadership Award. Tickets will be available for purchase through the NAB Show registration portal in the coming weeks.
The NAB: We Are Broadcasters Celebration, held Tuesday (3:00 – 4:15 p.m.) and followed by a networking reception at the NAB Show Mainstage in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, is open to all attendees. The event will include the presentation of the NAB Crystal Radio Awards and the NAB Crystal Heritage Award, in addition to the Radio and Television Engineering Achievement Awards and the Television Chairman’s Award.
“These changes are an opportunity to better highlight key awards and expose them to a broader NAB Show audience,” said NAB Executive Vice President of Conventions and Business Operations Chris Brown. “The new schedule also reflects NAB’s focus on keeping the show fresh and relevant while continuing to highlight the great work our industry does from a business, creative and community perspective.”
The new events replace the NAB Show Television Luncheon, NAB Show Radio Luncheon, and NAB Show Technology Luncheon, all of which were ticketed events at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort. Additionally, the NAB Show Opening event, featuring the presentation of the NAB Distinguished Service Award, will relocate from the Westgate to the NAB Show Mainstage in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
