WASHINGTON, D.C.-- TMZ Creator and Executive Producer Harvey Levin and FOX Television Stations’ Senior Vice President of Programming Frank Cicha will participate in an NAB Show keynote panel focused on syndicated entertainment news. The Super Session, entitled “The Real Story: A Take on Syndicated Entertainment News” will take place on April 24 at the Las Vegas Convention Center at 3:30 p.m. PT on the Main Stage North (N249). The NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) Show is the world's largest convention encompassing the convergence of media, entertainment and technology.
Cicha and Levin will discuss the origin of the FOX TV/TMZ partnership and TMZ’s evolution from a web brand into a leading syndicated television entertainment news property. In addition, they will address “TMZ Live’s” debut on FOX stations, as well as FOX’s testing strategy for content, which has delivered nationally syndicated programs like “The Wendy Williams Show,” “TMZ Live,” “The Real,” “Dish Nation” and the upcoming “Page Six TV” and additional “OBJECTified” episodes, which were ordered after the widely successful run of the “OBJECTified: Donald Trump” special. "Broadcasting and Cable" Contributing Editor Paige Albiniak will serve as moderator.
Nine-time Emmy Award winner Harvey Levin will share insights from his decades of experience as a producer, investigative reporter and attorney. Levin has created series including “Celebrity Justice” and previously served as co-executive producer for “The People’s Court.” His resume also includes roles as a radio talk show host for KABC-AM and KMPC-FM and investigative reporter for Los Angeles station KCBS-TV, where he spent a decade covering high-profile court cases for various CBS affiliates.
Frank Cicha currently serves as the senior vice president of programming for FOX Television Stations, a position he has held since 1997. In his role, he oversees all programming, program testing and scheduling for the station group. Cicha also spearheads the company’s D2 programming efforts, and oversees programming for MyNetwork TV programming service. Earlier in his career, he served in various research and marketing roles at Twentieth Television Domestic Distribution. Before that, he held positions at Warner Bros.
