WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Charlie Corwin, co-chairman of Endemol Shine Americas and co-CEO of Endemol Shine North America; and Lewis Henderson, CEO of The Marketing Arm’s entertainment group, will participate in the advertising keynote at NAB Show New York. Produced by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and held November 9-10 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City, the 2016 NAB Show New York will present its annual advertising keynote on Thursday, November 10th at 1:30 p.m.
Corwin and Henderson will engage in a keynote conversation on the topic of brand partnerships and how best to deliver results for major consumer advertisers across broadcast and digital, while still creating best-in-class content.
Endemol Shine North America’s unscripted programming includes hits like CBS’s “Big Brother,” FOX’s “MasterChef,” Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and History’s “Swamp People,” as well as scripted series like DirecTV’s “Kingdom.”
The Marketing Arm has worked with such major brands as Pepsi, Unilever, AT&T, Harley-Davidson and the NBA; creating a number of critically-acclaimed projects and industry firsts, garnering key awards spanning Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils and Clios.
“Endemol Shine and The Marketing Arm are responsible for some incredibly innovative and fun brand integrations, and I’m excited that their respective leaders will be joining us onstage at NAB Show New York for a keynote discussion,” said Chris Brown, NAB executive vice president, Conventions and Business Operations. “As content production evolves, producers and advertisers will continue to redefine their relationship with viewers, and Charlie Corwin and Lewis Henderson are at the forefront of that change.”
Since 2014, Charlie Corwin, alongside colleague Cris Abrego, has led the North American division of Endemol Shine Group, the global independent content creator, producer and distributor behind some of the most prominent hit television formats and series around the world.
Corwin, an award-winning film and TV producer, previously led the production company Original Media as its CEO and co-founder. While there, Corwin oversaw the development of critically-acclaimed box office successes, including “The Squid and the Whale” and “Half Nelson.” In television, Corwin is widely considered an innovator for his creation of subculture specific docu-series such as “Miami Ink” (TLC) and its popular spinoffs, “LA Ink” and “NY Ink,” as well as the breakout successes “Swamp People” (History) and “Storm Chasers” (Discovery).
Lewis Henderson serves as the chief executive officer of the entertainment practice of The Marketing Arm, one of Omnicom’s leading consumer marketing agencies. Upon joining The Marketing Arm, Lewis led the company’s foray into the branded content and commercials business. In this role, Lewis is responsible for growing and managing the overall business, while overseeing all client management, partnerships, campaigns and content development for the group’s clients.
Prior to joining The Marketing Arm, Henderson founded and led the William Morris agency’s digital business, marking the first initiative among all the major talent agencies to focus on packaging deals for content delivered on emerging platforms. As head of William Morris' digital practice, Henderson partnered with the agency’s talent to extend their storytelling to digital platforms and advised leading technology companies on strategic partnerships with leading media and entertainment companies.
