NAB Education Foundation Announces 2016 Technology Apprenticeship Program Participants

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) today announced the 10 individuals selected to participate in the 2016 Technology Apprenticeship Program (TAP), which begins this month. TAP exposes technology-minded graduates and young professionals to the broadcast industry through a six-month, hands-on training program that includes a two-month internship.

“We proudly welcome our talented class of 2016 TAP participants,” said NABEF President Marcellus Alexander. “I am confident that each will bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the program, further solidifying our commitment of providing young, high-tech professionals with a comprehensive and practical experience.”

In addition to the apprenticeship, TAP participants learn about the latest broadcast trends and network with potential employers at the annual NAB Show in Las Vegas and have the option of becoming a Certified Broadcast Technologist. The program concludes with a weeklong workshop at NAB headquarters in Washington, D.C., where participants will prepare and host a webcast on cloud-based broadcasting for industry professionals.

• Amy Willis- Omega Studios
