Defense News Editor Vago Muradian Featured During NAB Show Military and Government Summit

Washington, DC -- Gannett Government Media and the NAB Show announced today that Vago Muradian, editor of Defense News and host of "This Week in Defense News," will give a keynote speech at the 2011 Military and Government Summit. Muradian will discuss the future of government and military media.

"An important element of the NAB Show is addressing how the private sector and government can effectively work together," said NAB Executive Vice President of Conventions and Business Operations Chris Brown. "Few people can explain it better than Mr. Muradian. We are honored to have him keynote this year's Summit."

The Summit, which runs April 12-14 in Las Vegas, provides opportunities for commercial manufacturers and researchers, as well as military and government professionals, to share advanced video technologies and implementation solutions.

"The unique perspective that Vago has on the fast-changing defense marketplace and his insight into the federal acquisition process is unparalleled," said Elaine Howard, president and chief executive officer at Gannett Government Media.

A renowned defense journalist, Muradian has more than 20 years of experience covering the business and politics of defense worldwide. The editor of Defense News since 2002, Muradian has hosted the weekly television program, "This Week in Defense News," since 2008. Prior to rejoining Defense News, Muradian was managing editor of Defense Daily International and a reporter with Defense Daily and Air Force Times.

"The 2011 Military and Government Summit is one of the industry's most important events showcasing the challenges and opportunities in store for government and military media," said Muradian. "I'm honored to be a part of it."
