WASHINGTON, DC - Leading marketing executives from major name brands will be on hand to share their insights on radio in a super session entitled "What America's Most Influential Marketers Say About Radio." The session will take place on Thursday, September 27 at 1:30 p.m. during The NAB Radio Show at the Charlotte Convention Center.
The session will feature marketing executives from Anheuser-Busch, Dunkin' Donuts, Pepsi-Cola and Carat, who will discuss their vision of marketing for the future and the expectations they have for their radio partners.
Panelists include:
Frances
Allen is brand marketing officer at Dunkin' Donuts. Allen is
responsible
for the development and execution of marketing strategies and
initiatives.
Prior to Dunkin' Donuts, Allen was vice president of marketing
at Sony
Ericsson Mobile Communications, where she developed the
company's marketing
strategies and implementation plans for the U.S. and Canada.
Frank
Cooper III is vice president of marketing for Pepsi-Cola in
North
America (PCNA). Cooper was formerly vice president of promotions
and interactive
marketing at Pepsi-Cola, where he supervised the company's
retail marketing
efforts and leading digital marketing strategies and
initiatives. Under
Cooper's leadership of the Interactive Marketing Department,
Pepsi was
awarded the "Best Marketing Web Site of the Year" by
Advertising
Age magazine.
Tony Ponturo is vice president of global media and sports marketing for Anheuser-Busch Inc., and president and CEO of Busch Media Group. Ponturo directs the media planning and buying functions for the company's beer brands and Busch Entertainment. Additionally, Ponturo supervises the sports/entertainment and digital marketing and sports productions operations within the company. In December 2006, Ponturo was named the seventh most influential person in sports business by the Sports Business Journal.
David Verklin is CEO of Carat Americas and chairman of Carat Asia Pacific. Verklin oversees the operations of Carat in the Americas and Asia Pacific as well as on the Indian sub-continent. Under Verklin's leadership Carat has grown into one of the world's leading media-centric marketing services companies, and has become the fastest growing company within the industry. Carat has received numerous accolades within the industry, including the Advertising Age Media Agency of the Year in 2001.
