WASHINGTON, DC -- The National Association of Broadcasters has partnered with TowerSource to offer NAB members a new service facilitating broadcast tower leasing opportunities. The new service will include special access, pricing and promotion of their online marketplace.
The new online service is available at nab.towersource.com.
The TowerSource online marketplace currently serves more than 6,000 registered users interested in tower space opportunities for communications equipment. The TowerSource services available to NAB members range from a full turn-key tower leasing solution, including consultancy and the necessary prep work to prepare a tower for tenants, to an asset listing exchange that serves as a national marketing channel for tower owners.
"NAB is proud to provide this service to our members, which should help boost non-traditional revenue for stations while alleviating some of the resource challenges faced by broadcasters today," said NAB Executive Vice President Dennis Wharton.
"Partnering with NAB was a logical choice for TowerSource. NAB's ability to aggregate its member holdings will make for a better database and online marketplace for industry specialists looking to lease tower space. TowerSource, NAB members, and the customer will all be better served from this strategic partnership", said TowerSource President David Wendlandt.
TowerSource's services will allow NAB members to register their tower assets through the NAB Web site and onto the TowerSource marketplace. TowerSource will also assist members with additional services, such as lease negotiation, tower analysis, surveys, pre-construction and zoning, as needed. This partnership is launching in conjunction with a redesign of the TowerSource marketplace, featuring additional functionality as well as better navigation and user interface.
A recently published book written by veteran communications lawyers Erwin Krasnow and Henry Soloman details revenue-generating opportunities for broadcasters that lease tower space for other wireless communications services.
TowerSource will be hosting an informational session on this program at the NAB Radio Show Thursday, September 24, 2:45 AM - 3:30 PM at the Philadelphia Convention Center.
Stations interested in additional information should contact Mary Carlile at mary@towersource.com or (610) 284-9289.
