ABC and CBS Affiliate Boards to Meet at 2009 NAB Show

WASHINGTON, DC – NAB Show organizers announced today that both the ABC and CBS Affiliate Boards will hold their meetings during the 2009 NAB Show in Las Vegas. The ABC Affiliate Board of Directors will meet on Sunday, April 19. The CBS Affiliate Board will meet on Tuesday, April 21.

To date, the affiliate boards for ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX have all agreed to hold meetings in conjunction with the NAB Show. Additionally, the full FOX affiliate group and the Television Bureau of Advertising (TVB) Board of Directors will also hold meetings at the NAB Show.

"Broadcasters constantly need to be on the lookout for inventive new ways of delivering content," said ABC Affiliate Board Chairman Darrell Brown, president of McGraw-Hill Broadcasting. "The NAB Show provides the perfect opportunity for the ABC board to get together and learn about the technologies impacting the electronic media world."

"Holding our board meeting at the NAB Show will allow us to take a look at the issues facing today's broadcast community and identify the companies and products that can push us forward in the current media climate, all under one roof," said CBS Affiliate Board Chairman Scott Blumenthal, executive vice president of television for LIN Television Corporation and NAB Television Board member. "We are looking forward to a productive meeting and informative excursion on the Show floor."

"Exhibitors from all over the world will be on hand to showcase the latest products that are shaping the future of media," said NAB Executive Vice President of Conventions and Business Operations Chris Brown. "There is no better place than the NAB Show for broadcast executives to learn about the state-of-the-art technology that is impacting today's media landscape."
