WASHINGTON, DC - NAB Senior Vice President of General Counsel Jane Mago and MSTV President David Donovan sent a letter today to FCC Chairman Kevin Martin regarding a proposed viewability order that would prevent analog cable viewers from losing access to must-carry broadcast television stations following the transition to digital. The letter questions why cable operators would oppose such a proposal given the public service announcements unveiled today by the National Cable Telecommunications Association, which claim that cable customers will not lose access to broadcast television stations after the DTV transition.
