WASHINGTON, DC - The National Association of Broadcasters annouced its support today for a consumer group opposing the monopolization of satellite radio. The Consumer Coalition for Competition in Satellite Radio ("C3SR"), founded by Sirius and XM subscribers, opposes a merger between the two satellite radio companies because it will impose higher prices, less diversity, and equipment costs on subscribers.
C3SR is the only consumer interest group exclusively dedicated to the protection of subscriber interests in the proposed merger of Sirius and XM. NAB encourages others who oppose this merger to join C3SR.
