WASHINGTON, DC - Oscar-nominated editor Craig McKay and award-winning editor Chris Franklin will serve as featured keynote speakers during NAB New York: Content Creation+ October 23 - 26 at the Javits Convention Center in New York.
Craig McKay, a two-time Academy Award-nominated editor, earned his first Oscar nomination for his work on the Warren Beatty drama, Reds. He received his second Oscar nomination for director Jonathan Demme's Best Picture winner The Silence of the Lambs and has collaborated with the director on such films as Philadelphia, starring Denzel Washington and Tom Hanks, and The Manchurian Candidate. Also honored for his work on television, McKay won an Emmy Award for Best Editing for the acclaimed miniseries Holocaust.
Chris Franklin has cut thousands of television spots over recent years, including recent campaigns for American Express, DHL, New York Lottery, and Mastercard. He has also edited two feature films - The Independent, featuring Janeane Garofalo and Jerry Stiller, and the documentary Comedian, starring Jerry Seinfeld. Honored with seven AICE (Association of Independent Creative Editors) awards for his spot work, he was recently included on Boards Magazine's "It" list of notable people and trends in the advertising industry.
NAB New York's flagship conference offering, NAB Post|Production Conference New York, will train content creators in cutting-edge production and post-production techniques.
