NAB'S Chris Brown Promoted to Executive VP, Conventions and Operations

WASHINGTON, DC - Chris Brown has been promoted to executive vice president, conventions and business operations, the National Association of Broadcasters announced today.

Brown joined NAB in 1999 as senior vice president, conventions and expositions, where he has played a lead role planning and executing NAB conventions, including the NAB spring show in Las Vegas, The NAB Radio Show and NAB New York. During his tenure, NAB's spring convention grew from 80,000 attendees to over 105,000 and the number of exhibitors has grown from 1,200 to 1,500.

"Chris Brown has demonstrated superb leadership while building the NAB conventions portfolio into premiere 'must-attend' events in the global media marketplace," said NAB President and CEO David K. Rehr. "I am confident that in his new role, Chris and his talented team of professionals will continue to build the NAB brand as we explore new growth opportunities."
