NAB Leadership Foundation Welcomes Valari Dobson Staab and Todd Hartman to Board of Directors

Washington, D.C. – The National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation (NABLF) today announced the appointment of Valari Dobson Staab, chairman of NBCUniversal Local, and Todd Hartman, executive vice president of Kalil & Co., Inc., to its board of directors.

“Valari and Todd bring exceptional leadership and deep industry expertise to our board,” said NABLF President Michelle Duke. “Their perspectives will be instrumental as we continue to expand our programs and strengthen our efforts to develop the next generation of broadcast and media leaders.”

Staab oversees NBCUniversal Local’s portfolio of 50 media properties, including NBC and Telemundo-owned stations, regional sports networks and streaming channels. Under her leadership, the division has become a multiplatform media powerhouse, delivering nearly 1,000 hours of local news and content each week across 30 U.S. markets, including Puerto Rico. A veteran executive with more than 40 years in media, Staab has led innovation in bilingual news, investigative reporting and streaming. She joined NBCUniversal in 2011 and was named chairman in 2022. She is a member of the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame and a recognized industry leader.

Hartman is executive vice president of Kalil & Co., a leading media brokerage firm specializing in broadcast and digital mergers and acquisitions. With more than 25 years of experience, he has advised on transactions across television, radio, out-of-home advertising and digital infrastructure. Known for his strategic insight and deep industry relationships, Hartman has helped guide clients through complex deals across the evolving media landscape.
