Celebration of Service to America Awards
The Celebration of Service to America Awards is the NAB Leadership Foundation's largest fundraising initiative, which honors local radio and television stations throughout the country for their commitment to and excellence in community service.
The 2023 in-person black-tie gala was hosted by Gio Benitez, co-anchor of "Good Morning America" Saturday and Sunday and transportation correspondent for ABC News based in New York. The event also featured other local broadcasters, FCC commissioners and members of Congress and took place at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, June 6.
The televised special aired from Nov. 27-Dec. 24 and was hosted by Emmy-winning broadcast journalist and NAB Leadership Foundation Director Tamron Hall. The nationally syndicated special is produced in partnership with Trailer Park Group and The Walt Disney Company for advertising sales and distribution.
The Leadership Award was given to multi-faceted performer Wayne Brady for their community service and commitment to diverse nonprofits.
JPMorgan Chase received the Corporate Leadership Award for its corporate social responsibility and dedication to underserved communities.
- The Celebration of Service to America Awards television show aired from Nov. 27 to Dec. 24, 2023, on 690 stations in 210 markets.
- It was the first time the television show aired on 57 Spanish speaking stations that are part of the Telexito and Unimas networks.
