Media Sales Academy
Media Sales Academy (MSA) is a six-month program that prepares college students and recent graduates for internships and entry-level sales positions at broadcast stations.
- The curriculum, built in partnership with the Radio Advertising Bureau and the Television Bureau of Advertising, explores the roles and responsibilities of media sales, including winning sales strategies, networking, presenting effective pitches and closing sales from top industry leaders who serve as instructors and faculty.
- The class of 2024 began in October with a two-day opening session. MSA students receive ongoing monthly training and mentorship.
- The closing session is a two-day event held at NAB headquarters that includes a sales pitch competition and recruitment fair.
- This program is made possible by the generous support of the following sponsors: Bonneville International, Disney Ad Sales, GEICO, Gray Television, Hearst Television, iHeartMedia, Katz Media Group, Knight Foundation, Nielsen Foundation, The Andrew M. Ockershausen Scholarships, P&G, TEGNA and TelevisaUnivision.
