On Thursday, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Innovation, Data and Commerce passed legislation to preserve Americans’ access to AM in automobiles.
The big picture: This legislation builds on the existing AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act, demonstrating broad support in Congress for legislation to safeguard listeners’ access to AM radio in cars and is a clear sign of broadcasting’s importance to policymakers and their support for AM radio.

2. Markup Held on American Privacy Rights Act
The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Innovation, Data and Commerce held a markup of the American Privacy Rights Act.

5. CISA Webinar on China State-Sponsored Cyber Disruptions
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) will host a webinar with Andrew Scott, associate director for China Operations at CISA, to inform broadcasters and other small and medium-sized businesses in the communications sector about the threats posed by Volt Typhoon, a People’s Republic of China state-sponsored cyber actor.

Discover public-private collaborative efforts to enhance cybersecurity resilience
