Rep. Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) sent a letter to major electric vehicle manufacturers underlining the importance of AM radio in large-scale emergencies.
"I strongly urge you to reconsider your decision and include AM radio as a stock feature in your EVs. Doing so would demonstrate your commitment to the safety and well-being of all Americans, especially during times of crisis," wrote Rep. Gottheimer.

5. NAB on the Move
NAB hosted the National Coalition of 100 Black Women at our headquarters for their Legislative Days event this week. NAB Chief Diversity Officer and NAB Leadership Foundation President Michelle Duke gave welcome remarks at the event.
Additional guest speakers included Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-7), D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and Under Secretary of Commerce for Minority Business Development Donald R. Cravins Jr.Assistant Leader Rep. Jim Clyburn (SC-6) was also in attendance.
Also this week, NAB President and CEO Curtis LeGeyt joined the Fox Distribution Conference in Los Angeles for a discussion with Joe Di Scipio, senior vice president, FCC Legal and Business Affairs, and Assistant General Counsel, Fox Corporation, on the policy issues affecting the future of broadcasting.
