Support for the Local Radio Freedom Act continues to grow! The resolution now has 125 cosponsors and counting.
This resolution opposes "any new performance fee, tax or other charge" on local radio.

3. Alex Siciliano Appointed as NAB Senior Vice President of Communications
Alex Siciliano has been appointed to the role of senior vice president of Communications at NAB.
Siciliano now leads NAB's communications team and oversees the association's media outreach, serves as the chief spokesperson for NAB and as a key advisor to the association's senior leadership.

5. Happening Now: NAB Board of Directors Election
The 2023 NAB Board of Directors election will be conducted by Vote-Now.com from February 9 to April 13. The 2023 election is for odd-numbered radio districts and six of the at-large television seats. The eligible radio districts up for election are listed below followed by the election schedule.

6. NAB on the Move
The Academy of Radio Arts and Sciences of America awarded the 2023 World Radio Day Award to KDKA News Radio, the iconic news/talk Pittsburgh station. The award was presented to Michael Spacciapolli, senior vice president and market manager, and David LaBrozzi, KDKA brand manager for Audacy Pittsburgh. McVay Media President Mike McVay presented the award and was joined by NAB Director of Member Experience Josh Miely.
