Charlyn Stanberry is the vice president of Government Relations and joined NAB in April 2021 after serving as chief of staff for Rep. Yvette D. Clarke (NY-09). She previously served as Rep. Clarke’s legislative director and counsel and managed her legislative portfolio as vice chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Stanberry is also an adjunct professor for Florida International University’s Honors College and teaches their Washington, D.C., seminar course.
Stanberry has also served as vice president of External Affairs for Net Communications, counsel for the Multicultural Media, Telecom and Internet Council and as a professional staff member for the Congressional Black Caucus under the tenure of former Housing and Urban Development Secretary and Rep. Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) in the 113th Congress.
She serves in leadership capacities for several philanthropic organizations, including as president of the Junior League of Washington and vice president of the National Bar Association. She has received numerous recognitions for her advocacy work, including being named to the top lobbyist lists for The Hill and the National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics.
Stanberry has a Juris Doctor from Florida International University’s College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Public Administration from the University of Central Florida.
