Sylvester “Pat” Weaver once said a common man could be made into an uncommon man by communications. He was an uncommon man of many achievements. As president of NBC in the 1950s, Weaver revolutionized television programming. From morning ‘til night, his influence was seen with the creation of shows such as “Today” and “Tonight.”
