CREATOR OF LIVE TV COMEDY

Sid Caesar introduced the American public to live television comedy and set the format for future comedy-variety shows. In 1950, his earliest television show, “Admiral Broadway Revue,” evolved into “Your Show of Shows.” The format was a weekly, live, 90-minute comedy-variety show which took everyday events and turned them into hilarious skits.
