“Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In” premiered in January 1968 and introduced an array of odd characters, from hippie poets to snooty telephone operators. Until it went off the air in 1973, Dick Martin and Dan Rowan continually broke new territory from the diversity of the cast to the training ground of young talent.
