Roone Arledge served as president of ABC News from 1977-1998. Prior to that, he was president of ABC Sports. His many accomplishments included producing 10 Olympic Games and creating "ABC Wide World of Sports," "Monday Night Football," Nightline," 20/20" and "This Week with David Brinkley."
