VOICE OF THE OPERA
Milton Cross, who began his radio career in the 1920s as an announcer, is best remembered as the voice of the Metropolitan Opera. Beginning in 1931, he narrated the Metropolitan’s Saturday afternoon broadcasts for over 40 years.
