MR. BASEBALL
For more than four decades, Bob “Mr. Baseball” Uecker entertained Milwaukee baseball fans, infusing his play-by-play with his rich familiar voice, affability and self-deprecating humor. Uecker also built success through television commercials, movie roles and situation comedies, and spent six years playing major league baseball.
2012 RADIO INDUCTEE
In 2001, he was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame, and in 2003, he was the recipient of the Ford C. Frick Award, bestowed annually by the Baseball Hall of Fame to a broadcaster for “major contributions to baseball.” To his achievements as actor, athlete and pitchman, he added the legacy of a great radio baseball announcer.
