The Technology department helps broadcasters stay relevant and informed in the ever-changing media technology landscape. The department represents NAB members in FCC filings and legislative lobbying efforts on technical topics relevant to broadcasting and participates in technical standards committees and other technical forums in the television and radio industry.
Comprised of expert engineers ready to give advice and consultation on a wide range of station engineering issues or problems that may arise, the department also develops technology conferences and targeted technical training for broadcasters. In addition, the department oversees NAB’s technology advocacy program, which is focused on facilitating development and commercialization of promising new technologies that will benefit broadcasters and the broadcast services.
