Ensuring Any Spectrum Changes Protect Listeners and Viewers
In 2019, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) undertook a number of proceedings to repurpose spectrum for use by wireless companies and others, including the reallocation of C-band spectrum for new services. NAB believes any changes should take into account the extensive use and significant investment in the band by broadcasters and others, the lack of meaningful alternatives and the unique technical properties of this spectrum. We will continue to work with Congress and the FCC to ensure that any changes in C-band spectrum protect existing users and their listeners and viewers from harmful interference or loss of service entirely.
