I have always had a connection to broadcasting. My Dad worked in the industry during the early part of his career at, among other stations, WGH in Newport News, Virginia where he met my mom. I worked at WHVL in Hendersonville, NC prior to departing for academia. Even here I have maintained a connection with the industry teaching Digital Media Production and creating and managing our own studio and producing financial news segments for local television stations from the campus. This year will mark my 26th NAB show (27th if you count the Radio Show I attended when it was here in New Orleans). I am proud and excited to be a part of the first century of broadcasting and excited to be at the NABShow in April.
