NAB and TVB Partner to Provide Sales Seminar Series

WASHINGTON, DC - NAB and the Television Bureau of Advertising have announced a partnership to provide a sales seminar series via live webcast for member station account executives with less than two years of media experience.

One 60-minute class will be offered per quarter; all classes will begin at 4 pm Eastern. The scheduled classes are "Prospecting" (Tuesday, October 25, 2005), "Time Management" (Tuesday, January 10, 2006), "Selling Against Competitive Media" (Tuesday, April 11, 2006), and "Selling Your Station's Website" (Tuesday, July 11, 2006).

Registration fees will be charged per station, with an individual session priced at $150 and the entire four-class package for $450. Stations may promote the sessions to their employees and have as many station participants as they wish for each session.

Paul Weyland, well-known in the sales training field, will present the first course on Prospecting. Among others, Greg Bennett of Altitude Premium Consulting will also provide training.

The not-for-profit Television Bureau of Advertising (www.tvb.org) is the trade association of local television broadcasters. Its members include television broadcast groups, advertising sales rep firms, and nearly 600 individual television stations.

The National Association of Broadcasters is a full-service trade association that promotes and protects free, over-the-air local radio and television stations' interests in Washington and around the world. NAB is the broadcaster's voice before Congress, federal agencies and the courts. NAB also serves a growing number of associate and international broadcaster members.
