Ryan Mollenkopf

Digital Sales Manager
WKYT - Lexington, Kentucky

As the Digital Sales Manager at WKYT, Ryan has led the station’s digital platform in Audience Targeting, Website Development and Design, SEO/SEM, Digital Advertising, and more. Currently, he manages all digital marketing strategy for the station’s top clientele. Over the past 3 years, Ryan and his sales team have increased the overall digital revenue by 340%. Ryan’s background includes over 10 years in the broadcast industry, including time at Cordillera and Gray. He has grossed over $7.5 million in local digital sales in the last 6 years between his time at WLEX and WKYT. Ryan was instrumental in organizing and maintaining a mutually beneficial partnership between WKYT and Lexington Bluegrass Association of Realtors (LBAR). The partnership has helped generate over $250,000 in revenue from advertising sales and has greatly increased LBAR’s exposure in the market. Ryan last appeared on NAB/TVB’s live national webcast in 2012 for “Local Digital Strategies.”

Ryan also serves on the board for the Lexington American Advertising Federation. Ryan also founded the student TV station at the University of Kentucky during his freshman year of college (UK Channel 50). Ryan graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2010 and currently resides in Lexington, KY with his wife Tiffany and their two mini Australian Shepherds, Marley and Maci. His life motto comes from the late great Zig Ziglar, “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.”
